About this blog

blue cave-1Hello There,

I am Jutismita from India, an Assamese at heart and a Delhiite by choice. When it comes to describing myself, I act like a true Virgo woman who is always confused and at a loss for the right words. But if I must, I would like to describe myself as a books and cheesecakes addict.

I love books with lots of food imageries because nothing seduces your senses more than some graphic details about food.

Apart from traveling (I used to work as a travel writer in the past), I love sharing stories, photographs, and foods that I cook. But when it comes down to one thing, coffee features on top of my priority list. The rest may wait.

Currently, I am living in Helsinki and on a sabbatical looking for inspirations to make this existence meaningful. Sounds deep right?

Also, I am a Finnish language student trying to grasp as much as I can. But to be honest, after about 25 hours of Finnish language studies a week, I am practically left with no time to spend on this blog or anything else.

The blog A Thousand Diversion is all about bucketlists and ‘first-time’ experiences. Be it our first ever Paris trip (I know in my heart, there will be another) or our first and last ski outing (coming from a super hot country like India, skiing is as good as flying an airplane to us), this blog is a chronicle of everything we find amazing and exciting.

The blog is also dedicated to our (I and my husband) days in Helsinki; an attempt to know this beautiful city. Some of the pictures in the blog are clicked by my husband and I am happy to give him a big thumbs up:)

Hope you enjoy my blog and feel free to drop your suggestions if you have any. Cheers.

You are fortunate to have the opportunity to see and live in another part of the world. When we tour, we only see a place for a brief time, but you are immersed in the culture and getting to know new ways and new people. Thanks for following our blog, Oh, the Places We See. Best wishes for taking all of your surroundings in. You’re saving memories right now for the future.
